Size Matters: How Men See Their Penis
I think it’s well established that at the end of the day, the size of your penis doesn’t determine your worth as a human being or your worth as a man. But many men are more than a little concerned about the size of their penises. Studies in the past have shown that women on average don’t really care that much about penis size, so why are so many guys sweating the size of their noodle and turning to methods of penis enlargement? A new psychological study conducted at Victoria University reveals that men are concerned about how they measure up to other men. It also reveals a strong link between penis size and mental wellbeing.

Men who have a large penis tend to have higher self esteem
Big Fish, Small Pond: Does Having a Big Wang Make Men Happier?
The study found that men who reported a larger-than-average penis size had overall higher self-esteem as well as overall better physical health. On the other hand, men who reported an average or below-average penis size reported a higher level of self-esteem problems and mental wellbeing issues. Does this means getting a bigger shlong will solve all your problems? Probably not, unless your only problem is having a miniature penis. But these findings are interesting and indicate just how important penis size is to a lot of men.

Is there anything more frightening than the idea of a high school locker room boner?
“Locker Room Syndrome” and Male Body Image
Principal researcher Annabel Chan calls the concern men have about measuring up to other men “locker room syndrome,” a term that probably conjures some memories of anxiety for most men who were once lowly high-school students. Another interesting finding is that men who feel that they have a small penis are more likely to engage in online dating, because physical appearance is less important to making a first impression. Most studies about body image perception and self-esteem in the past have focused on women, so this study is quite important in sketching a picture of male body image problems. It also reveals that concerns over penis size are quite common and are linked to broader mental health issues.
